Why Altitude 1950?
This isn't just an apricot tree.
The story of high-altitude plateaus coming back to life...
The name "Altitude 1950" originated from our research on apricot cultivation at high altitudes. Today, this research is evolving into a community movement that supports nature conservation and sustainable production.
The natural climate created by high altitude, cool nights, and sunny days gives apricots their characteristic character. Scientific studies show that these conditions can have positive effects on the development of phenolic compounds and aroma. Altitude 1950 is a continuation of research that began in the highland lands that were passed down through generations in our family and left unused for years. Today, these orchards aim to demonstrate the potential of high-altitude farming, showing that environmentally friendly production and sustainable rural living are possible.
Our apricot orchard has won awards and prizes in various competitions in Türkiye, America, and England.
50 trees will be adopted in 2027.
How it works

Make a donation.
Choose an environmental NGO.
Donate to the environmental non-governmental organization of your choice.
The minimum price for 2026 is 5,000 TL.
YouthFin does not accept donations and does not receive any share from donations.

Let's name the tree after him.
You will be assigned an apricot tree for three years. (You can choose either Kabaaşı or Hacihaliloğlu)
A nameplate will be placed on your tree.
We will share information about the current status of your tree in the WhatsApp group we will create.
All maintenance for your tree will be handled by us.

Join us at the harvest!
You both claim ownership of the same tree.
You receive the annual photos.
You will follow its development.
You will be invited to the harvest every year for three years.
After 3 years, you can continue with the same tree by renewing your donation.
If you wish to continue owning the same tree after five years, you have priority.
Harvest
Our project areas are located at high altitudes, and flowering occurs 4-6 weeks later compared to the Malatya plains.
The expected harvest takes place in late July to early August. The orchards are scattered across an area with altitudes ranging from 1750 to 1950 meters, and the harvest period extends over approximately two weeks.

You can work with us for a day,
You can pick as many apricots as you like from your tree.
You can stay for one night.
You can enjoy yourself by the campfire at night,
It can explore the surroundings during the day.
You can learn about thistle gum harvesting and beekeeping,
You can experience the definition of high altitude.
Your harvest will be all the fruit that is ripe on the day you arrive.
Our trees are about 5 years old, and their yield is expected to increase steadily until they reach full maturity at 8 years old, with an annual yield of 100-150 kg.
This project aims to fulfill a social responsibility obligation and will ensure that you can obtain a reasonable quantity of apricots for your personal consumption in all circumstances.
If you can't come to the harvest
If you live in Türkiye;
Your harvest share can be sent to your address.
The planned annual harvest share will be annual until 2030.
5 kg of fresh apricots or
3 kg dried apricots (sun-dried or sulfur-dried)
In the event of a harvest failure due to frost or other natural disasters, you may be provided with produce from the previous year's harvest, if possible, or it may be added to your share the following year.
International Participation
Currently, international shipping is not available; however,

You can visit your tree,
They can be our guest for a few days.
You can participate in the harvest and pick as much produce as you like yourself.
If you wish, the amount of your harvest share mentioned above can also be sent to an address you specify in Türkiye.
